Ultra pure 10% glycolic acid coupled with the proven acne fighting ingredient salicylic acid 0.5%. Specially formulated to accelerate the removal of dead skin cells that can interfere with the proper oil drainage of the skin. Salicylic acid 2% helps to reduce the number of acne blemishes (papules & pustules) and blackheads (comedones) and allows the skin to heal.
Apply a moderate amount to dry skin and massage gently into skin. Wet hands and continue to gently massage in a circular motion for 1 to 2 minutes. Rinse off thoroughly with lukewarm water and towel dry. Recommended usage is 2 to 3 times per week or as directed by a physician.

I’ve been struggling with breakouts in my face, chest, and back since being pregnant. I use this exfoliator two to three times a week on my face and my body. This scrub did not dehydrate my skin. The exfoliating ingredients felt amazing on my skin and were very gentle, even though the scrub includes glycolic and salicylic acids. The scrub left my skin silky smooth and free of all of the dry, dead skin that was there before. My skin also looked much healthier and had a nice brightness to it. Exfoliation forms such an important part in one’s skincare and everyone should incorporate it into their skincare routine. I am a lover of chemical (enzymes or acids) exfoliation over physical (granular) exfoliation, for the pure reason I have sensitive cheeks and found them to work better for me. I have been using the AHA/BHA Brightening Scrub of Skinworx and was impressed with this exfoliator. It is a combination exfoliator, chemical and physical, but what makes this better than others is the use of microcrystalline cellulose (forms the cell walls of green plants) for physical exfoliation. Not only is it a gentle scrubbing agent, but it is biodegradable as well. Then the wonderful glycolic acid and salicylic acid helps with brightening and deeper exfoliation. The brightening Scrub additionally incorporates vitamins and hydrating ingredients as well. Considering my sensitive cheeks, I did dampen my face prior to use, although it is recommended to apply the product on dry skin and then did gentle rotations on my cheek area. There was no increased redness or sensitivity experienced and found the exfoliator did a very satisfactory job. My skin felt smoother to the touch and refreshed. This exfoliator can be used 2 to 3 times a week but I would recommend to start off slow and build it up dependent on your skin, especially if you are using other exfoliating ingredients such as retinol, etc. or have skin sensitivity. Due to the great large size of the product, I even used it on my body which provided an amazing overall smoothing.Within my 13+ years within the skin and medical aesthetic industry, I enjoy supporting smaller brands especially those that work. The Skinworx AHA/BHA Brightening Scrub is a great product which does what it claims, it is produced in FDA-regulated labs, has peer-reviewed literature formulations that are effectively delivered into the skin with low preservative levels. Lately im into liquid exfoliants but every now and then i pick up a physical exfoliant so i can get the scrub sensation. The skinworx aha/bha brightening scrub is strong with the inclusion of glycolic acid and salicylic acid together. I do not reccomend this for sensitive types or if you have any breakage on your skin because it will sting! That being said after using it your skin feels smooth and polished. I also used this on my body as well and it worked just as good. So if its too strong for your face use it elsewhere! I did notice the freckles on my face lightening up a little bit but with any brightening product i reccomend you have two others to supplement it because of how difficult it is to get rid of dark spots. Finally you should definitely wear sunscreen after using this.

My hyperpigmentation is quickly fading and my typical minor breakouts are a thing of the past. This is one of the best scrubs I have ever used but do wish that the scrubbers were finer because these can do damage to the skin. My best advice is to scrub very gently when using this. It’s a very gentle and effective scrub that helps to polish and eliminate dead skin cells as well as dirt and residue on the skin. A generous dollop amount of the scrub would do a throughly job cleansing and cleaning the skin. In less a minute or so after gently massaging, scrubbing the skin with the tips of my fingers and rinsing with warm water, what leaves behind is just a clean, soft and brighter looking skin. I really enjoy the soothing and calming benefits from this very well formulated formula. The main resurfacing active in this product is glycolic acid (10%) and salicylic acid (.5%). This may not be good option for someone with sensitive skin since glycolic acid molecules are the smallest and penetrate the skin the most, but it is great for someone who wants to tackle wrinkles.The only con about this product for me is the tiny micro-beads. It’s not too hard but I am always cautious if a product has beads or anything that can be abrasive to the skin. After washing the scrub off, It does leave my skin feeling soft and smooth. This product states that it should be used 2-3 times a week but I think it should only be used no more than 2 times a week.

One thing that is excellent about this product is that it’s suitable for use on face and on body. I personally don’t take mechanical pealing to well on my facial skin (only chemical), but I did use Skinworx AHA BHA Brightening Scrub on my body, and I actually really loved it! Especially when I follow the specific instructions to use it on dry skin first, then wet my hands and rub some more, and then use more water to rub in as a soap and wash off – I would get amazing results. The Skinworx AHA BHA Brightening Scrub is a facial scrub meant to target clients dealing with hyperpigmentation, skin discoloration and dullness and mimic a microdermabrasion facial. The formula includes glycolic and salicylic acid for cleansing, healing, correcting, and treating lackluster skin, as well as removing dead skin cells that interfere with oil drainage of the skin. I really liked the consistency of this formula because it’s thin enough that a little bit of the product (about a dime size) goes a long way, especially for scrubbing and exfoliating. Personally, I found that just a small amount was enough to give my face a gentle scrub because too much product felt a little too rough for me. One thing I didn’t like about this product was how messy the microfibers were. Even after multiple rinses, I still found the little beads in my hairline and around my nose. I also don’t suggest using a physical exfoliating product too often because they can be damaging to the skin barrier and can leave little cuts on your face.

I tend to shy away from physical scrubs because of how harsh they can be on the skin especially since I use a retinol and other forms of liquid active exfoliations. This 3-in-1 brightening scrub has changed my views on scrubs. This one is soft, creamy and very effective. It’s a cleanser, exfoliator, and brightener. Simply put, a microdermabrasion in a tube. It is an active so it’s best to only use it a few times a night and not paired with other actives. My skin was smoother and softer, pores were tighter, and face was glowing. I thought it was an exfoliant which was meant to be used as a separate step and I had to do a little digging on here to figure that out. BUT once I got my life together and learned how to use it properly, I really loved it! It’s definitely not an every day product, but if you’re struggling with dull skin, dryness, or texture, this is something you’re gonna want to integrate into your skincare routine ASAP! I love an exfoliating scrub that’s not too abrasive. This one in particular contains 0.5% salicylic acid and 10% glycolic acid, the latter of which is great percentages of AHA concentrate for effective exfoliation on a consistent basis, though you shouldn’t use this daily. And with CoQ10, it serves as an antioxidant to protect against environmental stressors. This scrub works well for me even though I have sensitive skin and isn’t painful to the face at all in comparison to other brands I’ve used (before I knew better). As a professional makeup artist and consumer, this is another new product fave that I can recommend to clients and stock for my own shelf. Blackheads on my nose appear to be fading and the quality of this product is actually visible on my skin’s surface.

Okay, I looooove this Skinworx AHA BHA Brightening Scrub a lot! My skin is immediately softer after using it in the shower. It totally cuts out the bumps I get on my arms and body and leaves my skin feeling smooth. It works great for the face but I prefer it for my body. The fact that it is formulated with 10% Glycolic acid and 0.5% Salicylic acid was a big selling point for me cause I absolutely love skincare products with Glycolic acid. My skin always looks and feels amazing after using Glycolic. The only thing that I did not love was the packaging with the screw off lid. I really wish they had chosen the twist lock tubes so you don’t have to remove the lid completely to access the product. By removing the lid completely, too much product comes out at once and it’s difficult with wet hands to get the lid on and off. All in all, I am a big fan of the Skinworx AHA BHA Brightening Scrub, but am requesting future packaging change.

A Brightening and exfoliating spa-like experience. As someone with a background in skincare and working in spas as an esthetician I quite like this product. While I enjoy the 10% glycolic and .5% salicylic acid I don’t generally gravitate towards physical exfoliators (scrubs) but sometimes I will spring for a dual exfoliating experience like this because I dig the sensation and the feeling of really getting in there with a tactile facial treatment (and this definitely gives you not only that ala gommage spa-like experience but also the result of brighter softer skin)! I find this to be more gentle than say a topical retinoid serum like the one I’ve been using so I reach for this product about once a week to gently slough off any dead dry skin and give my problem areas an exfoliating boost. As always I love the addition of green tea polyphenols as well as vitamin a, c, and e and I will gladly welcome antioxidants in every step of my skin care all day. I will say when I use this scrub I don’t work it in for the full two minutes because my skin is sensitive so I honestly massage it in for more like 30 seconds and leave it sitting while I’m in the shower for 3 minutes as an exfoliating mask so the glycolic and salicylic can do their thing and then I rinse off thoroughly. It’s not the easiest scrub to get off so I would suggest using this in the shower as opposed to an over the sink situation. I would recommend this for any and all genders (but probably the most for men because I know they typically love a tactile skincare experience like a scrub can provide). I think my boyfriend enjoys my facial scrubs more than I do and he certainly reaches for them more! Overall another great product from Skinworx.

This is suitable for oily combo skin types with blemishes, scarring, hyperpigmentation and texture problems. It helps with any loss of tightness and keeps skin feeling smooth and soft to the touch. It’s free of fragrance and contains a blend of 10% glycolic acid, 0.5% Salicylic acid, USP, Arbutin, Bisabolol, Vitamins A, vitamin C, vitamin e, Green tea extract, and Co-Q10. I personally didn’t use it on my face because glycolic acid isn’t my favorite ingredients for my face at that percentage again it’s personally however I had the best experience using this all over my body in trouble areas like my neck chest elbows feet knees. Even on my back if I had any blemish problems and I can see it working for the booty as well. Citrus Scented Silky Skin Sloughing Scrub by Skinworx is my new favorite! As a person with sensitive skin, this is fabulous! I used it all over my body and face, it has a perfect consistency, going on like a luxurious silky gel with tiny soft beads and leaving my skin feeling flawless. It turns slightly foamy when massaged unto dry skin which makes it a quick and easy process. The sloughing happens as your circular massaging motions glide over your skin. The sleek white packaging is a generous 6.7oz but can easily be put into a travel size if needed. This is an ideal exfoliation method prior to doing a spray or self tan. I have been an esthetician for over 30 years and know that the combination of AHA’s & BHA’s increase collagen production but can cause irritation if used excessively, I would recommend caution for very dry skin. The packaging is simple, the product itself is very thin and almost liquid like when it comes out. It has a gritty texture like you would expect from a scrub but gentle enough for my somewhat sensitive skin. After the first use I was amazed at how much smoother my face felt. I am a licensed esthetician practicing in New York. The Skinworx AHA / BHA Brightening Scrub gave me a pleasant and intense deep pore cleansing. The combination of glycolic acid and salicylic acid mixes well to gently exfoliate my skin. The glycolic acid works to clear up my surface dead skin cells and reveal a fresh and bright radiant skin. While the salicylic acid goes further to my pores to dissolve build-up oil such as whiteheads and blackheads trapped deep in my pores. I have an oily T-zone, so this worked very well to clean up my oily pores in that area without over-stripping. I love the different course of the texture transformation. I apply the product on dry skin. As I slowly massage, the product begins to ball up and it’s almost like a gommage peel where I can visibly see the product working to remove my dead skin. Once I have massaged all areas of my face and neck, I slowly introduce water and it magically transforms into a slippery physical exfoliant where tiny micro grains develop to further extend the exfoliation. My skin feels so clean and fresh. I have a beautiful bright glow. Totally love the results! My pro tip is try not to over do it. I consider this product very strong. Over exfoliation can lead to skin barrier damage, which means inflammation, redness, itchiness, and unexpected sensitivity. My skin type is dry and sensitive. I limit the exfoliation to 1x per week and it’s sufficient. As an esthetician, my recommendation for this product is to follow the suggested use. Limit frequency of usage if your skin is sensitive. Try not to over exfoliate because of the combo of the two different active acids in this.

I’ve been using this for both face and body and I enjoy the very fine scrub. You don’t need to scrub hard as the fineness combined with the Ahas help to exfoliate two fold. I’ve steered away from physical exfoliants for a while because I led to believe it was bad for me but now I feel that there are better products out there that do a better job of exfoliating the skin without damaging it which is important in regular exfoliation. 2-3 days a week will be plenty. I loved that you only have had to massage in a small amounts, and it’s enough for the whole face so little goes along way! I had to use this product as soon as i received it because i heard so many great things about this exfoliating scrub. After using it for the first time I could not believe how soft it left my skin. After using this exfoliating scrub i feel like my moisturizer and serum absorbs in to my skin much better than when i do not exfoliate my skin. I also love how gentle this scrub is because one of my concerns were if it would be to rough for my skin and if my skin would become irritated after using it but it did not which i am glad because i have sensitive skin. Hi beautytap! This is Sarah, soon-to-be licensed cosmetologist and absolute makeup/skincare junkie. As someone with highly sensitive skin, I am always wary when experimenting with exfoliants. I’m prone to dryness, eczema, and perioral dermatitis, so I find that certain products with exfoliative actives can be way too much for my fragile skin barrier and can even cause flare ups. This exfoliant however, I thought was fantastic. It felt gentle, didn’t leave my skin feeling stripped or tingling or irritated. My skin looked clean and radiant immediately after use. I’m really looking forward to using this product on friends and clients who have more acneic and oily skin types. For me, exfoliating with this product once a week is sufficient. My only issue with the formula was the microbeads used to physically exfoliate the skin. Like I mentioned before, I am terrified to overexfoliate. So for me, just the chemical actives are enough, and the physical exfoliating beads seem like overkill. They also make the product really difficult to completely wash off. I also would suggest to skinworx to rethink the packaging of this product. A pump form would be easier, since the product is in a big squeezy bottle, it’s easy to accidentally squirt out too much.

As a professional skincare writer for 13+ years, my nighttime routine is long, long, long, and anything that can save me a step is blissfully welcome. Leave it to the ever-ambitious Cheryl Pierce to unite the chemical exfoliants I usually have to apply in two separate steps into one glorious scrub that will most likely be a fan favorite product.No More Need for a Standalone AHA or BHA ProductMy life is busier than I’d like it to be, and I’m occasionally guilty of cutting out my AHA or BHA to save time. I don’t apply both of them nightly, nor would I use a physical scrub in the morning and a chemical exfoliant the same night. Having everything in one tube … and having it work effectively … was and is a beautiful thing. I use this twice a week in the morning and haven’t needed to add my other products in the evening whatsoever.I Like This Better When Applied to Wet SkinAfter using this as directed on dry skin, I tried it while my skin was damp and preferred it that way. To be fair, I’m probably shortchanging myself on the benefits of the AHA and BHA by doing that, but the scrub was a bit much for me when used on dry skin. My skin is somewhat sensitized, though, due to tretinoin usage and a recent laser treatment. If you have a healthy skin barrier and don’t use retinoids, this will probably be amazingly effective when used as directed.Closing Thoughts: Lest I forget to mention this, the tube is 6.7 oz. That’s massive for a facial scrub. This will last me at least six months, which makes it an affordable staple for my needs. Another winner from Skinworx!

The AHA BHA Brightening Scrub from Skinworx hits all the right spots. This citrusy sweet smelling scrub feels impactful each time I use it, as it really does a great job of exfoliating well (contains both chemical and mechanical exfoliants). I love using right before I shower. I often spread it generously on my face, neck and décolletage, and hop in the shower, not rinsing until the very end. Right before I rinse, I lightly massage the scrub around for 1-2 minutes making sure I concentrate on my jawline, nose and chin (these are the areas that I tend to be more oily and congested). I really loved using this antioxidant packed scrub on my body as well. My fav is to use on my legs, back of my thighs and buttocks before I shave. It makes my legs silky smooth and feels like it elongates the time before my legs start getting rough and prickly again. I’m a practicing esthetician and I see a lot of brands/clients focus on the face and forget about the rest of their skin…so I love seeing powerhouse packed products that focus on exfoliating, brightening, calming, and soothing the body! At first glance, the packaging is basic with a twist off the entire cap situation & squeeze out the product tube. The product is more of liquid like consistency than a gel so with this type of packaging, you can lose product if you aren’t careful. This could easily be fixed with a twist & squeeze/twist & seal situation but overall the packaging isn’t a deal breaker for me at all because the scrub itself is AMAZING! Like I said prior, it’s a textured/beaded liquid cream. It doesn’t have a scent, lathers well, and isn’t hard to rinse off. After showering with this scrub, my skin looks great and doesn’t feel dry or greasy (other scrubs generally leave me feeling one or the other). I personally think it’s great for my bikini line, I tend to get ingrown hairs and this scrub has really helped me. I would definitely recommend this product!!

As a Cosmetologist of 13 years experience I have tried a lot of different skincare products. This by far is my most favorite exfoliator. When you first put it on if has a very refreshing slight tingle to it. The grit of the crystals is absolutely perfect. It describing itself as a quick microdermabrasion facial is 100% accurate. Every time I use it I feel like I just got an hour long facial and my skin feels brand new. It really helps detox the skin. My pores have shrunk and it’s almost like the blackheads are pushing themselves out. The smell of the scrub is so light and airy and Spa like. Not overpowering with too much perfumes. Smells like a fresh bowl of citrus fruits. I really like that it is calming as well because usually after exfoliation I am extremely red, but with this I’m not even pink!
