I have been a beauty content creator for over six years, I have never tried a sunscreen on my lips. I think a lot of people forget to apply sunscreen on the lips and apply it mostly focusing on the face, neck, and/or limbs. I love that this product not only helps protect the skin from a skin cancer, but it also helps to hydrate and plump the lips at the same time which I love. it contains SPF 30, hyaluronic acid, peptides, and ceramides. It is recommended to use this a few times a day, especially if you’re going to be outside, since it has been a little bit colder I’m not really outside, so I don’t need to apply it that much but I think it will be very helpful. After experiencing Cheryl Pierce’s Nourish + Repair Cream earlier this year, I became an instant fan of Skinworx. With that in mind, I kept my expectations in check when the Plump + Protect arrived. I have thin little lips, and aging hasn’t helped, so I’ll take all the volume I can get. Here’s what I experienced:Atypical Ingredients for a PlumperAs a seasoned beauty writer, I recognize that most topical plumping glosses use ingredients that actually irritate the lips, causing them to both perk and plump up. Unlike many on the market, you won’t find peppermint, capsaicin, or cinnamon in this formula … thank goodness! Niacinamide does the heavy lifting here, and it causes a mild tingling sensation that is similar to other products I’ve tried. Multiple forms of hyaluronic acid are also included, which I appreciate since I often apply that ingredient to my lips throughout the year.Glossy Lips and Sun Protection, TooIn my opinion, it’s incredibly difficult to find a glossy lip product with sunscreen, so I’m overjoyed that this has SPF 30 in it. As someone who is overly dry on all surfaces of their body I must say this does fall short for me just a little. It 100% Plums your lips no doubt about that. The issue is that if your lips are severely dry I do not recommend using this. At first it does feel really nice going on but then the plumping activator kicks in and it is just uncomfortable. I personally would like for the formula to be a little thicker, but not sticky. The smell of the product is great. Smells like a Watermelon Jolly Rancher. With all of that being said the concept is great! I feel like a lot of people forget that their lips actually age as well and protecting them from the sun can really help slow down that process. For me personally it is not a lip gloss that I would crave to have. I’ve used it every day for a week straight and my lips are still dry.The concept is nice but I have definitely used better.

I’m just gonna come out and say it, I love lip plumper (why does that sound like a line from Anchorman??? Lol). I have always had nice enough lips but always thought I could use just a little help making them a tad fuller. The Lip Plump+Protect by Skinworx is one of the most potent lip plumpers I have ever tried. This tingly lip gloss instantly starts to plump lips and create a natural blushing that makes their color appear beautifully saturated. Within 5 minutes, my lips have filled out beautifully and feel extra spicy (I liked the feeling). After 10 minutes have elapsed, my lips look even fuller and the tingling sensation has all but passed. All I’m left with are rosey, full lips that are UV protected (yep, this gloss has SPF in it). I find I don’t need to reapply this too often because my lips stay plumped for at least a few hours. After days of using this beautiful product, my lips have become accustomed to the tingly feeling as it subsides quite quickly now. I’m so addicted to the natural, voluminous glow my lips have after using this product. It allows me to feel glamorous without having to overdraw my lipstick like a clown. I was very careful to only apply this product inside the lines of my lips and while it certainly gave me plump lips, it also gave me a negative reaction. The first time I used it, I developed a bright red ring around my mouth that burned horribly. I immediately rinsed it off and after smothering my lips in aquafor, my lips returned to normal. I really wanted to be able to review this round so I gave it an additional try another day. The first time I tried it I had applied two coats on both lips so the second time I only applied one coat spread out evenly through both lips. Unfortunately, I experienced the same results and ceased all use of the product. I could barely get through one complete application, let alone several throughout the day as needed as the label suggests. For this reason, I can’t offer a positive testimonial.

Skinworx brand is one that I am a big fan of but the Lip Plump+Protect product is not. I have sensitive skin including my lips but haven’t encountered this level of burning reaction in awhile. As an esthetician for over 30 years, the first lip plumping products felt exactly like this back in the day. The stinging is immediate and lasting, followed by peeling after the 3 days I gave this multiple attempts at wanting to like it. It took 5 days after that to recover from the obvious allergic reaction. My only recommendation would be to those that don’t have any sensitivities and with caution as to follow the directions and not get it close to the edge of your lips. The slim silver lightweight packaging is a pretty compliment for any bag and carry on the go. The consistency is a thin watery type gel that dries quickly and has a broad spectrum sunscreen. Since this didn’t work well for me I can’t speak to the hydration or moisturizing benefits.

I only feel a little tingling after I apply this product and it makes my lips plump a little bit which I actually like. My lips are not overly plump and it has a more natural look.The product in this tube is a clear gloss and works within thirty seconds. I think it does change colors a little bit since my lips looked a little more pink. It is hydrating since it contains hyaluronic acid and peptides. Normally people forget to protect their lips from the sun but this has broad spectrum sunscreen in it; so this is a plus!!The only downside is that it contains chemical sunscreens not safe for the reefs, so do not wear this out into the ocean.

I have been in the industry for many years and always eager to try a new lip plumper. Because let’s be honest, who doesn’t want the appearance of fuller lips? I loved this one! 2 things I believe a lip plumper needs to have to give the look of fuller lips is one being the tingle to bring blood flow to the surface of the lips, and hydration to plump the lips up. This product does both. After application I could feel and see the difference immediately. The tingle was there.but not overwhelming like some Iv tried. The way it feels applying to the lips is almost addicting with how rich and hydrating the treatment feels from the multiple forms of hyaluronic acid. A huge added bonus is this treatment also includes SPF! The plumping blood flow look does go down after the tingle fades but the lips still look full from the shine and hydration this treatment provides. My lips did feel slightly dry after the treatment wore off but quickly fixed after another application.

I am a licensed esthetician practicing in New York. I love a product that offers hydration and sun protection for the lips too! This Skinworx Plump + Protect SPF 30 lip treatment was a very interesting product. I experienced various different experiences. In my first try, my lips plumped up real fast with the added unpleasant burning sensation. They were beet red and uncomfortably big as if I just received a lip filler treatment. I was worried about my second try. Will I have to suffer through the intense burning sensation? Luckily, my second try went a bit better. The burning sensation was not as strong, but was still there. My third try, I already knew what to expect. In this third round, I was able to understand the texture and the scent. The distraction of the burning sensation really distracted me from enjoying the product. I found the texture to be comfortable and it didn’t feel heavy on the lips. It’s slightly sticky, but surprisingly not tacky. My lips stayed moist for a good solid 2 hours. (Keep in mind, this is without eating or drinking.) My fourth try, I was already a pro at it. I know now how much to apply without suffering through the consequence of the burn. From my trial and experience, my TIP is to use a very little amount to start off with. I would say one sweep on the upper lip and another single sweep on the lower lip. This tip will give you a beautiful lip finish. I got a beautiful natural rosy blush color on my lips and a nice full lip shape. Controlling the amount is so important. In hindsight, the concentration of the active plumping ingredient was so strong when I first opened the product, As I gradually used it more, the concentration decreased. I do enjoy the results on my lip. Love my natural rosy blush color and my plumpness. This product is great on days when I don’t feel like applying lipstick. The burning sensation is still here, but it’s not so intense. Two things I don’t adore are the scent and the taste of the product. Even after the product has absorbed and faded off, the taste still lingers on my lips. Wishing this can be improved to a tasteless and scentless product. Along with a lower concentration of the plumping ingredient, so it won’t be burning on the lips at initial try.

As a licensed cosmetologist for 19 years I am always thrilled at the opportunity to try new brands and products. Being a lover of lip plumpers for several years this was a product that I was really excited to receive. With the hyaluronic acid and niacinamide included in this plump and protect, and the dry winter season in full swing my lips can are always in need of extra hydration. So when I received the plump and protect in the mail I quickly unpackaged it and applied to my lips. I noticed it had a soft, silky feel and applied really easily and I could feel almost an instant hydration. Within about 30 seconds my lips started to burn, I tried to push it off because I have used plumpers before that had a slight tingle sensation that subsided. Unfortunately, the feeling only progressively got worse and my lips started to swell, a bright red ring around the outside of my lips appeared along with swelling. I had to wash my lips off immediately, apply another product and call my doctor followed by taking Benadryl. Thankfully it did not progress and within about 40 minutes I was fine. Unfortunately, this is not a product I am able to use, or would recommend because of my experience.

I really enjoyed plump and protect the first time I tried it but the second and third time I used it I experienced a reaction. I don’t think I would quite call it an allergic reaction more like a sensitivity but either way what would end up happening is after about ten or twenty seconds after applying it red splotches would appear on my skin around my mouth, cheek, and under my nose. They go away after an hour or so but that’s also around the time the plumping effect wears off sadly. I really like everything about this product aside from the reaction I get but the splotches pretty much make this a no-go for me unless I want to have my skin mad at me for an hour or so. My skin isn’t the most sensitive I would say it definitely borders on sensitivity, however I think I am straight up really sensitive or allergic to one or some of the ingredients which is unfortunate because I love how plump it made my lips and that it also has broad spectrum spf. I would air on the side of caution with this one if you are sensitive or are sometimes sensitive to ingredients and maybe do a patch test first or just skip this product entirely. I like Skinworx a lot as a brand and maybe in the future they can release a sensitive skin version of this product because a girl can dream and I would be the first in line to buy it if they had one my skin could tolerate.

The Skinworx Lip Plump+Protect was a miss for me. I liked the packaging and it was easy to slip in my purse so I can re-apply when needed. However, the strong chemical taste after applying was just too much for me to get past. It leaves a horrible taste in your mouth that is hard to get rid of. With ingredients like peptides, ceramides, sunscreen and hyaluronic acid, I really really wanted this to be the new lip treatment in my daily routine. After applying the Lip Plump+Protect to my lips, I would almost immediately get a red ring around my entire mouth like I had been drinking red kool-aid and then paired with the awful taste and the stinging it just did not work out for me. I love the idea of having so many A-list ingredients, I just hope they can go back to the drawing boards and figure out how to remove the taste or hide it.

Many people want plump lips but do not wanna get fillers so the next best thing is to turn to lip plumpers. The Skinworx lip plump+protect is unique to me with its inclusion of sunscreen. I think many people forget your lips can also get sunburnt. The product has a light candy smell like a typical lipgloss. It also goes on with a small doefoot applicator and is not sticky. You can feel the effects almost instantly i would say its like putting cinnamon on your lips if that makes sense. It didnt hurt for me but i also have a high pain tolerance. Another thing worth noting is that the edges of your lips tend to turn bright pink color when the plumper is in action so if you dont like how that looks i suggest wearing your lip products on top to camoflauge it.

One of the important areas we tend to skip during our skincare routine, are our lips. I do enjoy a great hydrating lip product that actually treats the lip area. Not only is the Skinworx Plump + Protect a hydrating lip serum/treatment, thanks to 6 different ingredients and ceramides, it also provides some plumpness and SPF protection along with antioxidants. The peptides and niacinamide within the lip product provide the plumping effect which does give a slight tingling sensation when applied, which only lasting for a couple of minutes. It has got a similar texture to a lip gloss but is less sticky and stays put. I found my lips to look more pink and brighter and slightly “plumped”, but that could also be due to the gloss sheen. I like that the lip product is not only hydrating but has protective ingredients in it as well. The worst lip product is when it provides just a layer on the lips, such as waxes, that provide no further benefit. Within my 13+ years within the skin and medical aesthetic industry, I enjoy supporting smaller brands especially those that work. The Skinworx Plump + Protect is a good product which does what it claims, it is produced in FDA-regulated labs, has peer-reviewed literature formulations that are effectively delivered into the skin with low preservative levels. Now, let me preface this by saying I naturally have full plump lips. I’ve only used a lip plumper in the past on accident. I really liked this particular lip plumper. I like that it felt nourishing and smooth. The lip plumper I used before only came in colors and was very sticky. This product isn’t sticky at all. Like all lip plumpers, there is burning sensation to the lips a minute or two after application. For the Skinworx Lip Plump+Protect the sensation was slight. Once the product went into action, I noticed that the results were a slight plump to the lips. The fine lines in my lips smoothed out. So of me it wasn’t a drastic. lip filler affect. I am usually a big fan of lip plumping glosses. I’ve got kinda thin lips and I like the tingly feeling given my previous positive experiences with Skinworx and the added bonus of SPF, I was expecting to love this product. However, I was unfortunately not a fan of this one.I will say, it does tingle and it definitely hydrates, but those are about my only two positives.I try to apply plumping glosses sparingly, as my skin is quite fair and the skin around my lips can easily turn red– not cute. What I noticed was, no matter how sparingly I applied this gloss, the whole area of my mouth turned red and I could literally TASTE the SPF. Because I have pretty full lips, I don’t often use lip plumpers. Since using this plump and protect lip product I have changed my way of thinking when it comes to using these type of lip products. Not only did my lips looked more define and full. My lips have felt more hydrate. Less dryness and cracked texture. It’s packed with some awesome ingredients like ceramides, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid and spf 30.This didn’t over stimulate my lips like most plumping products do. This is most likely due to menthol being towards the end of the ingredients list with the combination of hydrating ingredients along with the SPF.There are a few lip plumpers on the market with spf. However, I haven’t tried any of them. I felt the most comfortable using this one and will continue todo so. It is transparent, it has a gentle fruity smell, it is on the lower end of tanginess for a lip gloss, which is a great advantage. The fact that it applies light on the lips and that it has SPF makes it a perfect product to use when going to the pool or the beach. The downside is that it does melt on the lips rather quickly, therefore doesn’t stay on as long, which is another reason why it is a perfect product for beach or pool, since it would easily wash while swimming, and of course, it is necessary to re-apply the SPF as soon as one is back in the sun, which yet again makes Skinworx Lip Plump+Protect perfect for the occasion.
